Hello,
what an amazing resource. I've recently returned to Seattle from the Bay Area.
I've been so sad to hear that so many of the open mic and live music venues
have switched to DJ. Thank you for helping to maintain Seattle's culture rich
live music and your support of local musicians.

There's no place like home

A Seattle native, I spent my college years studying and meeting friends at the Allegro. I left the US after school and have been searching for another coffee shop like the Allegro, but there's no place like this on earth. The cozy mix of regulars, students, professors and artists is inimitatible worldwide.

. . . we played completely unplugged, but everything sounded great! The room was the perfect size for the sound and more than a couple people told us afterwards that it was the best we've sounded live...
Thanks alot for letting us play. It was a great show!

An excellent place to write

I was here several times during November working on NaNoWriMo (www.nanowrimo.org). The coffee is excellent, the pastries are delicious, and they have free wireless and abundant power outlets. This is the ideal coffee shop.

The show was really well attended, and we played without amplification... And sounded great.
See you next time!
